- Yeah, I was doing this, but since I put up my BBS, it's become a problem;
- should anything ever go wrong, BBSGuard, the program I use to get rid
- of gurus, can't do anything because my A500 perpetually crashes until I
- get home and can open the lid...oh well, the real reason I replied was that
- I was wondering what kind of controller you use. I have a Dataflyer 500
- and a M-tec 68020/881 card, and whenever the card is in, the drive can
- only recognize audio CDs! Now as far as I can tell, the only hardware
- mods (or kludges) are:
-
- 1) The Dataflyer RAM is looked at by the system as 32-bit even though it's
- normally 16-bit
- 2) the new procesor, the RAM, etc. etc.
-
- Anyway. I can't imagine a SCSI device not working with a Motorola CPU
- just because it's a Motorola CPU, so I think it's the 1st reason. It seems
- that way, anyway...
-
- anyway, if you have a similar setup or think you can help, let me know.
